The George Enescu International Competition launches its 20th edition in 2026, revolving around the theme: “In Pursuit of Excellence.” Acting as a launching platform for outstanding musicians, the competition also promotes the legacy of Romanian composer George Enescu to artists worldwide. It features four compelling categories: violin, piano, cello, and composition, with each round taking place in Bucharest, Romania.

In the violin final, three talented violinists — Eun Che Kim (South Korea), Francesco Papa (Italy), and Jayden King (USA) — perform a contrasting selection of celebrated and demanding concertos. The distinguished jury of established artists, presided over by renowned violinist Mihaela Martin, will now weigh all the artists’ strengths and determine who will finish in first place…
