Música orquestal de Brahms
Wary of drawing comparisons with Beethoven, Johannes Brahms (1833-1897) didn't enter the orchestral genre in earnest until fairly late: after the youthful Serenades, Opp. 11 and 16 from the late 1850s, it took until 1876 for him to complete his Symphony No. 1! The Romantic master went on, of course, to leave behind several treasures of the orchestral repertoire — and you can find them in this playlist: the four symphonies, the Saint Anthony Variations, the Tragic Overture… When you've finished exploring these, check out Brahms's chamber music output, another genre in which he excelled!
