Erika Grimaldi
About
Erika Grimaldi was born in Asti in Italy. After gratuating with distinction from the Conservatorio Guiseppe Verdi in Turin, she became quickly one of the most talented sopranos in Italy.
She achieved great successes in her country before performing quite a few times in the International Opera Festival in Zurich. She won the 1st prize at the International Opera Singers’ Competition in Orvieto in 2005. Thanks to this prize, she has been invited to perform the role of Carolina in Cimarosa’s Il matrimonio segreto, staged by Paolo Miccichè.
She appeared in La Flute enchantée at the Teatro Massimo in Palerme and in Don Giovanni at the Avenche's Festival. Still, one of the most important experiences of her career was to appear in Moise and Pharaon at the theatre dell'Opera in Roma, under Riccardo Muti's conducting. She is performing at the Verbier Festival, 2015 edition.
