Sanzharali Kopbaev
About
Sanzharali Kopbaev was born in 2003. He studies at the Zhubanov Republican Specialized Middle School for Talented Children in Kazakhstan (Gulzhan Kazybekova’s class). Kopbaev took part in the 17th International Nutcracker Television Contest (2016). He is a prize-winner of at the International Astana Piano Passion Competition (2013, 2nd prize; 2014, 1st prize), Merci, Maestro Competition (2016, Brussels, 1st prize), and the Almaty Republican Competition (2017, Grand Prix). He was also a semifinalist (and Promising Artist prize-winner) at the 10th International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians (2017). He has frequently taken part in various international festivals chaired by Denis Matsuev, including those in Moscow, Voronezh, and Irkutsk. Kopbaev performed a recital in Mumbai (India) in September 2016. It was organised by Marat Bisengaliev, Honored Artist of Kazakhstan, Professor of the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, and the founder of the Symphony Orchestra of India.
