Yusif Eyvazov was born in Algiers and moved to Italy where he completed his advanced studies with renowned tenor Franco Corelli and soprano Ghena Dimitrova.

Yusif Eyvazov kicks off his 2017-2018 season with the release of his new recording “Romanza” for Deutsche Grammophon alongside his wife, soprano Anna Netrebko. In September and October they tour across Asia, Australia and New Zealand, including cities such as Dubai, Tokyo, Nanjing, Seoul, Melbourne and Sydney. He then returns to Europe for his debut at Teatro alla Scala to open the season in the title role of Andrea ChenierFollowing this he will be seen at the Bolshoi Theatre as Des Grieux (Manon Lescaut), Hermann (Pique Dame) and in the title role of Don Carlo. His season will further lead him to London, for his debut in Covent Garden as Macduff (Macbeth), Staatsoper Berlin (Tosca) and Opera National de Paris (Il Trovatore). Further concerts will lead him to Monte Carlo, Moscow, Minsk, London, Baden Baden and Salzburg. He finishes the 2017-2018 season with an extensive tour throughout South America, including cities such as Santiago, Sao Paulo, Lima and Buenos Aires.

In the 2016-2017 season, Yusif Eyvazov made a series of important debuts including Macduff (Macbeth) at Bayerische Staatsoper, the title role of Andrea Chenier at the Prague Opera and Maurizio (Adriana Lecouvreur) at the Mariinsky Theatre. On the concert stage he was to hear in Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, Sochi, Budapest, Moscow, Paris, Muscat, Calgary and Toronto, joining stage with Anna Netrebko. He appeared on Anna Netrebko’s recording "Verismo", released by Deutsche Grammophon in September 2016.

Yusif Eyvazov’s other recent performances include Radames in Aida for the Salzburg Festival and Arena di Verona, Maurizio (Adriana Lecouvreur) at the Mariinsky Theater, the title role of Andrea Chenier and Des Grieux (Manon Lescaut) at Prague Opera.
