The Vienna Philharmonic’s New Year’s Concert is one of the most beloved events in classical music, ringing in each new year for over eight decades with a joyful celebration in the Viennese tradition. To start 2022 off in style, the distinguished Argentine pianist and conductor Daniel Barenboim returns, following successful outings in 2009 and 2014, to direct the world-renowned ensemble in a rousing selection of dances—including the traditional waltzes by the Strauss family, plus some lively polkas, marches, and the famous Die Fledermaus Overture.
