Program notes

Join conductor Vincent Dumestre at the head of the Poème Harmonique ensemble, joined by a cast of young specialists for a fabulous concert—featuring rare and popular 17th-century music—from the third edition of the Festival Singer-Polignac!

Vocal music takes center stage in this Baroque extravaganza, which mixes orchestral pieces and arias by well-known composers (like Cavalli, Charpentier, Lully, and de Lalande) with the works of lesser known or even anonymous composers! This concert presents the perfect opportunity to hear mezzo-soprano Eva Zaïcik, Lyric Revelation of the Victoires de la musique classique 2018, in the sumptuous setting of the Fondation Singer-Polignac in Paris.
