Program notes

In the majestic setting of the Château de Chantilly's Grandes Ecuries (Great Stables), Martha Argerich and her specially invited guests perform Romantic chamber masterpieces alongside Yemeni and Israeli melodies. At the crossroads between two musical worlds, these traditional vocal works in Hebrew, arranged by Weill and Schoenberg, share a program with Schubert's magnificent String Trio in B-Flat Major and Rondo in A Major for piano four-hands. Notable guests include soprano Tehila Nini Goldstein, pianists Iddo Bar-Shaï and Theodosia Ntokou, violinists Geza Hosszu-Legocky and Alissa Margulis, and violist Lyda Chen Argerich, who shines alongside cellist Edgar Moreau. An unforgettable evening, brimming with passion and virtuosity, that illuminates this 2023 edition of the Coups de Cœur à Chantilly.
