Program notes

You’re cordially invited to join the world-class Chamber Orchestra of Europe for a stupendous program from their Esterházy Palace residency, led here by longtime collaborator Robin Ticciati!

This memorable evening, part of the COE’s spring tour, features the luminous Liebeslied for 8 instruments by contemporary composer Jörg Widmann, the Scène d’amour from Hector Berlioz’s symphonie dramatique Roméo et Juliette, and passages from Egmont, one of the most emblematic works of Beethoven’s “heroic” period. Also on the program: a mini documentary about the COE’s residency at the gorgeous Esterházy Palace, a building with more than a few chapters of classical music history in its walls…

This is just one of over a thousand thrilling concerts available on medici.tv, the web’s leading classical music streaming platform!
