Lise de la Salle — Pianist

Program notes

Lise de la Salle made her debut at the Auditorium du Louvre when she was only 14. Watch her live for the first time ever on medici.tv in a programme of original works by Liszt, along with some of his famous piano transcriptions, like his dazzling version of Wagner's Liebestod.

Dedicated to the Hungarian composer, Lise de la Salle's last album (available on the naïve label) has been largely rewarded by the critics, notably a Gramophone Editor's Choice and a Diapason d'Or.

Musée du Louvre: Henri Loyrette, president director; Monique Devaux, artistic director for the concerts.

Concert recorded live by France Musique.
