Sir Simon Rattle conducts Mozart and Haydn's "Une Symphonie imaginaire" (a pasticcio by Sir Simon Rattle) — With Daishin Kashimoto and Amihai Grosz

The music of two classical masters suffused the KKL Luzern during this concert of the 2015 Lucerne Festival. Violinist Daishin Kashimoto and violist Amihai Grosz opened the evening with a resounding performance of Mozart’s Sinfonie Concertante in E-flat Major, KV 364, accompanied by Sir Simon Rattle at the head of the Berliner Philharmoniker. The musicians then took the audience for a thoroughly entertaining adventure with Rattle’s own 10-movement pasticcio of Haydn’s greatest hits, and Haydn-esque musical jokes.
