Live from the 30th anniversary edition of the Verbier Festival, sit back and bask in the sublime soprano voice of Véronique Gens alongside I Giardini, who perform their album Nuits, dedicated to French vocal repertoire. This captivating program features French-language poetry set to music, traditionally accompanied by a piano, small ensemble, or orchestra. In Nuits, Véronique Gens and I Giardini explore nighttime in all its facets through gorgeous works by Sains-Saëns, Ropartz, Berlioz, Offenbach, and Fauré transcribed for voice with string quartet and piano. The effervescence of moonlit romance brushes up against the fears of our nightmares and the excitement of convivial soirées in a program centered around Ernest Chausson's Chanson perpétuelle.
