Program notes

Meet one of the classical stage’s brightest stars for a solo recital live from Paris’s prestigious Fondation Louis Vuitton! Young piano prodigy Yoav Levanon has selected a high-flying program that begins with the Variations Sérieuses by Mendelssohn, followed by Schumann’s Fantasy in C. The stark contrast between these two works attests to the astonishing maturity and musicality of Levanon, one of the most talented artists of his generation. The concert continues with the devilish octaves and thunderous arpeggios of Liszt’s Sonata in B Minor, before ending in fireworks with a performance of Gershwin’s beloved Rhapsody in Blue.
