The bagpipes are an instrument consisting of an air bag and a blow pipe (or chanter), pierced with several holes and one or more drones continuously playing a note. There are three main families of bagpipes. This instrument, which dates back to Roman times, appears in such diverse continents as Asia, North Africa and of course Europe.
