"Bach around the world" celebrates in the form of a Pledge Show the great composer and Thomaskantor Johann Sebastian Bach. Impressions of all over the world give an idea of how modern and popular the old music of the composer still is. Whether in America, Japan or Europe – people love the music of Bach. He is likely the most universal composer.
The show contains not only classical music but also jazz. Renowned artists like Bobby McFerrin, John Eliot Gardiner, Viktoria Mullova, Ton Koopman, Jacques Loussier, Maasaki Suzuki, Georg-Christoph Biller and the Leipzig Thomanerchor make Bach around the world to an amusing and educating music-programme.
