Dancers follows Lukas, Syvert, and Torgeir, three Norwegian teens with big dreams of success on the ballet stage. An immersive look at the difficult and taxing daily routine for these budding artists, this documentary follows their successes and setbacks in a highly charged time of life—full of beautiful moments, but unpredictable and sometimes heartbreaking.
The three dancers want to focus only on their craft, but the path to the leading roles they crave is long and littered with pitfalls. Between the pressure they feel from their parents and teachers, the stress of auditions, and the sacrifices they know they’ll need to make to get where they want to go in such a physically demanding discipline, Lukas, Syvert, and Torgeir have their work cut out for them.
