Go backstage on tour with the Greek Youth Symphony Orchestra as they prepare for their concert at the legendary Carnegie Hall. Get an insight into the experiences of the orchestra’s young virtuosos and their conductor and artistic director Dionysis Grammenos as they share their enthusiasm and passion for musicmaking.
Founded by Grammenos in 2017, the Greek Youth Symphony Orchestra spotlights the best young talent in the Greek islands. In 2024, the orchestra reached an important milestone: their debut at one of the most prestigious concert halls in the United States. The Messengers takes us behind the scenes of this unique orchestra, uncovering their story and revealing a touching musical portrait of Greece. The vibrant testimonials of the young musicians demonstrate the strong bond between them that allows them to live, breathe, and play together as one.
