medici.tv has met with the violinist Maxim Vengerov during the 2012 Verbier Festival, just before his highly expected appearance in Brahms's Violin concerto in D Major. He kindly answered our questions.

"Since I started conducting a few years ago, it gives me a great understanding also to be a soloist, to see actually how it looks from the other side. I know the difficulties, the challenges."
