Khatia Buniatishvili: Interview

"When I was born already, musical atmosphere was at home"

medici.tv has met with the Georgian pianist Khatia Buniatishvili during the 2012 Verbier Festival, just before her performance of the Chopin Piano Concerto No. 1. She kindly answered our questions.

"Do you go back home to Georgia very much? How has Georgian music culture, and it's renowned polyphony, influenced your development? How do you feel to be playing with Yuri Bashmet? Do you get nervous or get affected by the presence of an audience?"
