In this concert at the famous Zurich jazz club “Moods”, Aaron Parks and his band present music from the album Little Big, released in 2018. A catchy blend of jazz, rock, electro, and hip-hop, the album explores different types of groove in warm and crystal clear sonorities.
American pianist and composer Aaron Parks is one of the most gifted young musicians on the international jazz scene. He gained recognition in the early 2000s as a member of Terence Blanchard’s band, with whom he released several albums on the Blue Note label. In 2008, Aaron Parks recorded the album Invisible Cinema under his own name for the prestigious American label. He pursued a remarkable career from then on, signing many albums on the ECM label and recording alongside Christian Scott, Ambrose Akinmusire, Kurt Rosenwinkel, and Joshua Redman.
