For this 2019 concert in the famous Zurich jazz club Moods, Hermeto Pascoal and his band made a surprise appearance, offering unique, energetic, and spontaneous music in a festive and eccentric environment.
Pascoal is a prolific Brazilian multi-instrumentalist and composer who transcends all attempts at categorization. In the late ‘60s and early ‘70s, he recorded with Miles Davis as well as Ron Carter, and won widespread acclaim before embarking on a series of international tours with his own groups. His music showcases his exceptional creativity and exhibits a wide range of sounds, including subtle elements of swing, free jazz, and traditional Brazilian rhythms from the Nordeste.
