Norwegian jazz saxophonist and composer Jan Garbarek is an award-winning musician who has led an exceptional and boundary-breaking career since his beginnings in the 1960s. Experience Garbarek's astonishing artistry in this concert filmed during the Norwegian MaiJazz Festival.
One of Norway’s greatest living musicians, Jan Garbarek's performances have delighted audiences and inspired musicians all over the world. His first solo album, released in 1967, helped secure Norway a spot in international jazz history. In 2013, Jan Garbarek played one of his rare concerts on Norwegian soil at the Stavanger Concert Hall during the MaiJazz Festival, one of Norway's biggest jazz festivals. Joined by his ensemble, he performed a concert that brimmed with intense and beautiful music.
