Michel Portal's Acoustic Tour With Hamid Drake in Savigné l'Évêque

This musical meeting of minds between saxophonist and rhythmic maestro first took place on an acoustic tour. Here, the regular accomplice of Archie Shepp, Don Cherry and Laïka, the American drummer and percussionist Hamid Drake, who owes much to Ed Blackwell for his singing style, joins Michel Portal for a virtuoso musical conversation. The unique encounter wasnorganised as part of the Europa Jazz Festival 2012, the 33rd edition of this springtime musical event.
