Every year, young singers from all over the world are given the chance to gain their first professional experiences as members of the International Opera Studio (IOS) in Zurich. An important stepping stone into the professional scene for those finished with their musical educations, the IOS has become one of the world's most important training centers for budding young opera singers. The Mexican tenor Francisco Araiza is the studio's artistic coach. For the past 15 years, he has been one of the leading tenors on the world's opera stages, and it is this experience, coupled with a highly sensitive and inspiring artistic practice, that make him an ideal mentor for the young artists of the IOS Zurich.
