What do Serge Gainsbourg, Céline Dion and Star Wars have in common with Dvořák or Rachmaninov? By reminding us of the classical roots of a number of popular hits, the Presto team aims to catch the spectator's ear and awaken his curiosity.

The programme includes: Grieg In the Hall of the Mountain King, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5, Mahler’s Symphony No. 5, Holst The Planets, Fauré’s Pavane, Elgar’s Pump and Circumstance, Tchaikovksy’s Swan Lake and Ravel’s Boléro.

Footage from the films themselves aim at bringing the music and musicians closer to the viewer. The camera moves around the heart of the orchestra; the musicians are placed in a circle around the conductor, who is caught dancing at times; and the black and white uniform of the concert halls makes way for everyday clothes.
