Roni Kaspi in Rennes

At just 23 years of age, Israeli drummer Roni Kaspi has already established herself as one of the leading players on the international jazz scene! Her powerful, incisive drumming has earned her a place on stage alongside renowned double bassist Avishai Cohen, whom she accompanies on two of his most remarkable albums: Shifting Sands (2022) and Brightlight (2024). Fusing hypermodern influences—from indie pop to electro to hip-hop—with a more traditional jazz technique, the Israeli drummer and composer released her first EP—PONI—in 2024. Accompanied by bassist Noé Berne and young synthesizer master Auxane Cartigny, she takes over the stage at the Trans Musicales de Rennes for an electric, fast-paced concert.
