As a former étoile of the Ballet of the Paris National Opera, principal of the Zurich Ballet and collaborator of Marie-Claude Peitragalla, Julien Lestel remains without doubt one of the finest dancers and choreographers of his generation. Throughout his creations he explores movement as a personification of humanity, traversing and interweaving all genres of dance.
In this work inspired by the sculptor Rodin (an explorer searching for the balance between ancient beauty, the prominence of the soul over the physical world, and the mystery of human nature), Lestel experiments through his choreography the idea of impulse, flight, gravity and above all, balance.
