A protégée of Rudolf Nureyev, Agnès Letestu was permitted to dance Gamzatti in 1992, despite her lack of experience. She was appointed an Étoile of the Paris Opera Ballet in 1997 and remained in this position until 2013.
Letestu's physical attributes, including her long limbs and graceful movements, were evident from an early age. She was the last student to be taught by Rudolf Nureyev, a renowned figure in the world of ballet.
Under the tutelage of this legendary figure, Agnes Letestu developed into a dancer of remarkable precision, particularly in her portrayals of the iconic roles in the classical ballet repertoire. Her notable performances include Odile/Odette in Swan Lake.
This documentary showcases her impressive range of talents, encompassing not only her abilities as a dancer but also her contributions as a stylist, choreographer, and actress, all under the guidance of Jean-Laurent Cochet.
Letestu's versatility is evident in her ability to perform with ease on the stage of the Opera Garnier as well as in a diving suit, where she has choreographed underwater improvisations. In this documentary, she generously shares her remarkable journey as an Etoile.
