The tremendously talented Klaus Mäkelä takes the lead of the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra, live from the Salle des Combins, in an exceptional live concert featuring superstar pianist Daniil Trifonov in two monumental works by Brahms and Mahler!

On the program of this 2022 Verbier Festival highlight: Trifonov takes on the magnificent Piano Concerto No. 1 by Brahms, one of the most beloved in the repertoire, which marries a virtuosic piano part with a rich and sophisticated orchestral accompaniment. Next, maestro and ensemble move on to Mahler's bravura "Titan" Symphony No. 1, a stunning mix of drama and audacity, of highbrow and popular musical idioms.
