Program notes

On September 21, 2024 (International Day of Peace), a world-class slate of musicians came together at La Cité Bleue in Geneva, united by pianists Martha Argerich and Iddo Bar-Shai and singer Noa, to perform Together for Humanity, a concert for peace. Artists like Gidon Kremer, Taiseer Elias, Amihai Grosz, Steven Isserlis, Yousef Sweid, Victor Julien-Laferrière, Avi Avital, Gil Dor, Sergei Babayan, Mariana Flores and Magdalena Kožená shared the stage with artists from Israel and Palestine to perform a program of works by composers of all faiths and backgrounds, including Brahms, Schumann, and Prokofiev as well as Israeli pianist-composer Nizar Elkhater, Armenian legend Komitas, Egyptian composer Riad Al Sunbati, and Noa.
