During this concert held at Paris's Cité de la Musique, Airelle Besson and her quartet capture the gaze of the audience with an energetic and rhythmic performance that associates a warm sense of lyricism with the obvious chemistry between her trumpet playing and the voice of Isabel Sörling.
The trumpeter, composer, conductor, and arranger Airelle Besson has achieved exceptional success in France over the years. She was notably awarded the 2015 Django Reinhardt prize as well as a Victoire du Jazz as the "French instrumental newcomer of the year". She has notably collaborated with such artists as guitarist Nelson Veras, cellist Vincent Ségal, and accordionist Lionel Suarez.
