At just 22 years of age the drummer and trumpet player Delvon Lamarr made a discovery that would change his life forever - the Hammond Organ! A mélange of undeniable talent and instant admiration for his instrument, in 2015 Delvon Lamarr decided to create the Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio featuring Hammond organ, drums and guitar. After honing their craft in Seattle, the group would go on to star in the world's greatest jazz festivals. The band’s first album rose to the top of the American charts in the Contemporary Jazz Albums category before achieving similar success with their third album in the Jazz Albums category in the same year.
On stage at the Festival de la Villette, sat beside his beloved Hammond B-3, Delvon Lamarr casts a spell on his audience, playing his own compositions that call on influences from funk and 70’s blues. In this concert, joined by Josh Perdue on guitar and Sam Groveman on drums, Lamarr demonstrates his talent and love for Hammond organs in this breathtaking and entrancing performance.
