The 2017 edition of the famed Jazz à la Villette festival welcomes legendary singer Dianne Reeves to its stage! Recognized globally as the successor to the great voices of the likes of Sarah Vaughan, Dinah Washington, and Ella Fitzgerald, Reeves stands out through her diverse repertoire and her ability to comfortably navigate between blues, soul, scat, pop, Afro-Cuban jazz, and bossa nova.
Born in Detroit in a musical family, her earliest influence were her uncle, double bassist Charles Burrell, and her cousin, keyboardist George Duke. After numerous Grammy Awards and decades at the top of her field, her performances keep captivating audiences the world over. Dianne Reeves embodies her art with genuine elegance and offers a unique experience to all who are privileged enough to see her in action.
